Hi, I’m JoLynn. I’m so glad you’re here.

I live with my husband Corwin, our Australian Shepherd Indigo, our three cats

(Oliver, Mia, and Felix), and a small flock of chickens who keep things lively around here.

When I’m not creating soaps, polishes, and balms, you’ll usually find me in the garden

with my hair up, spending time with my animals, reading a the latest book on my TBR,

or enjoying a cup of tea.

My journey into natural skincare began in 2018, when I started paying closer attention

to the ingredients in the products I used every day. The more I learned about synthetic

additives, dyes, and preservatives in food and skincare, the more I knew I wanted

something better. Ingredients in what you put on your body are as important as in

what you eat.I began exploring clean, simple ingredients and eventually

started making my own body care products at home.

In the winter of 2022, my sister-in-law Andrea stepped away from her soap business, and I had the wonderful opportunity to take it on. I kept many of her trusted recipes and rebranded the business as Earth Folk Botanics, creating products that reflect my own style and values. Since then, I’ve been committed to offering body care that feels good, smells beautiful, looks lovely on your shelf, and most importantly, nourishes your skin.

Everything in the Earth Folk Botanics shop (besides our much loved calendula salve) is handmade by me. I use 100 percent pure, tested essential oils for their scent and therapeutic benefits, and color my products using natural clays and plant powders such as indigo, spinach, and red sandalwood. My formulas are filled with high-quality oils like jojoba, olive, castor, and coconut, all chosen for their ability to support healthy skin. Many of these ingredients are organic, and any that are will be labeled clearly. My goal is to continue shifting toward fully organic ingredients as I grow.

Caring for the earth is a big part of my mission. I reuse and recycle as much packaging material as possible and I encourage you to do the same. I am always looking for better alternatives to plastic in my packaging, especially for products like lip balm, and I will continue improving both sustainability and product quality over time.
